Dr. Sarsam’s Biography
Dr. Sarsam is co-founder and sole owner (since 2008) of the private, family-run clinic The Art of Dentistry, Vancouver. which offers a full range of dental services with a compassionate ethos. She is a respected figure in the dental community, delivering top-notch dental care based on up-to-date knowledge and state-of-the-art techniques in dentistry to support patients’ dental health.
Dr. Sarsam has over 20 years’ experience of delivering high-quality dental care for all types of patients. She specializes in implant placement, root canal treatment, cosmetic dentistry, perio surgery (including gum graft and flap surgery using Fotona laser), and Botox for cosmetic and therapeutic purposes. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), Dr-. Sarsam brings profound knowledge in bone graft procedures, sinus lift, and implant placement. She completed the Digital Smile Design (DSD) residency and master programs, participated in Dr. Frank Zastrow’s master class in autogenous bone graft procedure, and completed Dr. Tomas Linkevicius’ Zero Bone Loss concept course.
Dr. Sarsam completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in Mosul University College of Dentistry and a five-year oral and maxillofacial surgery program at General Hospital in Mosul, northern Iraq. She immigrated to Canada in 1996 where she secured a dentist license in 1998 and embarked on extensive education in North America and Europe.
Dr. Sarsam enjoys teaching and mentoring dental colleagues, sharing her expertise and passion for continuing professional development in dentistry. She is highly committed to advancing her expertise with evidence-based techniques and enhancing her understanding of dental education and services. Her goal is to deliver preventative care and treatment which improve oral health and well-being based on the latest developments globally in dentistry. Dr. Sarsam regularly shares case studies with leading dental experts world-wide.
